It's time once again to reflect back on the past year. (Actually, it's well past that time, but we're going to forget that the new website launch and newsletter redesign put us a bit behind and pretend like we're right on time.)
For the Best of 2009 Awards, we decided to focus on two specific areas and bestow nine awards. A lot of thought went in to narrowing things down to two areas for the year. First, 2009 was a year of many responses to the economy from top restaurants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Such efforts deserve to be rewarded, so we have taken the current economy into consideration when deciding each of our recipients and have even designated a special award for dining specials aimed at saving customers money. We have also dubbed 2009 as The Year of the Brunch. We realize brunch has been gaining in popularity for some time now. However, it is truly amazing how many new brunch menus have popped up in the area during the past year.
