It's almost time for the great Halloween tradition of Trick or Treat. There are many options for taking your children out to stock up for their annual November 1st Sugar Coma. You might still live in a neighborhood where the childern pour out the doors around sundown and fill the streets ringing doorbells and demanding their due allocation of candy, or you might choose an alternative at a local shopping center, community center, or church. Whatever you choose, we wish you a happy and safe evening with your family.
On the other hand, your family dog is most likely demanding his or her opportunity to strut in costume and receive copious rewards as well, and we all know that most dogs are a little too proud to trick or treat just anywhere. Don't worry. We have you covered. For your pampered pooch we have the most exclusive trick or treat event in town, the West Village Dog Trot & Treat.
On Sunday, October 31 from 2-5 pm, the Dallas West Village invites dogs and their owners to join them for this event benefiting the Katy Trail. Pooches and people will parade the streets picking up treats at various boutiques along the way.
Thereafter there will be a party at CityPlace West Blvd including live music, a dog costume contest, sips from Cork Wines (people only please), vendors offering services and giveaways, and treats for everyone.
The entry fee is $15 per pet prior to the event and $20 onsite. Pets are allowed as many people as they wish to accompany them at no additional charge. To take advantage of the $5 advance discount, register online now.
